I’ve been saving this to post on a day worthy of such a drink, and that day is here! This week’s cocktail is brought to you from the mind of my friend Marina. She messaged me a while ago on Facebook to share her recipe and described it as “MN summer in a glass,” so naturally I had to make it right away… and you guys… it really is summer in a glass!! Check this out:
3 oz Bombay Sapphire gin
2 oz Raspberry lemonade
1/2 oz sour mix
1 or 2 Rosemary sprigs (1 for mixing, 1 for garnishing)
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice until the outside of your shaker gets frosty like a freezy. Pour over ice into a lowball glass and find out just what MN summer tastes like.
Now… one disclaimer: This drink is still evolving. It actually started as a vodka cocktail, which is also delicious, just not as delicious. We are now on a mission to perfect it even further (think freshly squeezed lemonade and muddled raspberries), so you will likely see The Marina v.2 sometime in the not too distant future. GET EXCITED.
